Our hearts go out to the 16's Blues for their narrow defeat to our Yellow team. The Yellows got on top midway through the first half and went from strength to strength. The Blues conceded a second that was a thunderbolt the Blues keeper could just not hold. The second half was just a matter of containment, for the yellows. I suppose someone always has to lose in a cup final and a 2 nil score was maintained to the end. All the club is so very proud of both squads for making the final such a special event........................
The under 12's confirmed their runners up spot in the league, even though they were 4 nil winners. De la Salle also won and has left us with a creditable second place. The 13's gave Woodhouse Park a 3 goal start and still beat them. This to maintain an unbeaten sequence. The Ladies reserves put up a splendid fight against a concocted Stockport County side. The ressers were up against it when they encountered a few of the County first teamer's. The Ladies 1st team have a cup final of their own on Thursday night at Manchester FA, Salford Village 6.00pm ko. Your support would be appreciated.
