Fletcher Moss v South Manchester
This Game was so much waited for by the boy's after last times encounter, when we were beaten 4-3, our only defeat all season by a good passing side and some strange refereeing decisions. That was in the past, this was now.
Game started with Fletcher taking the initiative by beating the opposition to the ball every time by playing a fast pressure game. Space was perfect & positional play was spot on. It was like watching a seasoned academy team go to work.
Excellent wing work from Romano & Curtis, left back, linking up well together as per our team talk at the start. This time I went with Jordan at right back to strengthen up defence with putting Team Capt Connor who recently has been playing centre back & what a huge difference the back has made with him there working alongside with Dave C. Connor was constantly talking to the defence & midfield. The back four was solid. Migs was linking up on the right very well just like the left with Jordan. Taki the powerhouse was working in Mid with Jason who in my opinion is the workhorse in the midfield area. Skoe's speed & Remi's ball skills was upfront.

Not before long the first goal came from Remi a lovely one touch control then a hard crisp finish along the ground into the bottom right hand corner into the net 1-0
Play carried on just like before. 5 minutes passed when number 2 came this time by a cheeky 10 foot chip by Skoe. He sent it from about 50 yds out. 2-0
Migs came off for a rest & Jeroham took the right flank in his place. Jeroham did not realise how fast the game was being played at, so he missed his runner behind him & not before long this runner managed to get passed Jeroham & managed to send the cross over into the fast forward who during the game was solidly blocked by our tight defence. This time he broke through. Received the ball from his left winger & slotted the ball into the goal. 2-1

HALF-TIME.
Second period commenced with Jordan taking the left midfield for Taki & little 'D' took to his usual position at left back.
10 minutes into the second saw another goal but this time it was our very own Romano who tried to clear the ball from our 6 yd box but instead of clearing he accidently knocked back the other way...into our goal. 2-2
From the start of the second Fletcher seemed to off shut off but after that equaliser it seemed to boost the lads. Just like the previous week against FC Sale when they took an early 3 nil lead against us, then our boys stepped up a gear & proved why we are top of division by taking them apart beating them 6-3.
After this accidental goal by Romano. I brought back on Migs for Jeroham & give Remi a rest by bringing on Terrell upfront switching him from right strike to left strike with Skoe.
Pressure was on but shots just going wide or their keeper stopping a couple from giving us the well deserved lead.
Some excellent touches from Terrell but just got closed in before he could get a clean shot off.
Another time for some substitution with Taki reappearing in mid for Jason & Matty taking right back for little 'D'. I had five substitutes to keep playing about with, which gave me the advantage of resting players throughout the game. Seb who has proved a valuable asset on the right wing came on to give Migs his final rest.
Fletcher still could not find the winner as time was bearing the 10 minute mark so with approx 5 minutes left. Final substitutions were made with Jason coming back on for Jordan in Mid to link up with Taki. Skoe pushed back to his left strike position as terrell made way for Remi on the right.
Within a minute of making this change a nice through ball was sent down from defence to Jason then carried through to Remi a couple of slippery touches to get past South Mannie's defence & it looked like a replay from before, Rem's did the exact same shot against the opposition keeper who did have no chance of getting to grips with the ball. 3-2
The whole pitch exploded with excitement as the whole Mean-Machine team just ran to Remi as if he was the King of England, the whole parent support were screaming too as loud as they could.
The final whistle came a couple of minutes later & the celebrations to follow were ecstatic as the lads were running round with our champions banner. Fizzy orange everywhere. Lap of honour run followed by a long slide in the mud.
A few from the opposition congratulated Fletcher but their was a few who rather felt the need to shout abuse. Hats off to Fletcher as they kept their composure throughout the whole game. Well done lads you have made me very very proud.
I would like to thank everyone that has assisted me during the season. Thank you.
Man of the match could only go to one Player this day & that was Remi.
Team Player went to the whole team for working as a true team, each one representing a cog in a machine...MEAN-MACHINE.
With one game left on Wednesday against Flixton we could of won this league by a whopping 11pts or even more depending if South Manchester take any more losses with there remaining 4 games that they have.
We have scored 106 goals & conceeded only 39.
